Day ? Nov. 23 I don't have my calendar with me so I don't know which day it is...90 something I believe. Anyway time for an update. But first...LET's GO VIKS!. All the best to the football team, just 4 games for state, you guys can do it. And also, to my fellow wrestlers, the season has only begun. Let's make it to state as well! I hope we have more girls this year and I hope we have more than just 3 of us make it to state :)

Anyway life on this side of the pond has been... fine. I'm trying to figure out if I am going to to need to change some classes around or what. Uhm, volleyball has been great. Practice is always fun, except last Thursday. But other than that it's always a blast. I finally think I'm getting better, or maybe luck has just began following me. Last Friday I went to the movies with Veronica and Emilia, we watched Due Date. Probably the best movie I could have watched, hilarious! I guess I just really needed a good laugh after well a breakdown if I should call it that. Yeah, believe it or not I was sort of a mess Friday afternoon....tired....and feeling like a certain someone was giving me uneccesary bologna sandwiches. But it happens so whatever, I had Veronica and Emilia there to cheer me up. So, the next day we all went to Ikea and Väla, had a good time there too. I've always liked going to Ikea, maybe it's because I like doing interior design sort of stuff. Besides the point.... Dakota and I have started to get together after school occasionally to work on our Swedish book. So much harder to learn swedish than I expected...but I'm attempting. I've been doing some reading in my spare time...in english, ha and been putting some thought into what I should get my host family for christmas. I've got some ideas, don't worry! What else....? Almost 2 weeks ago I sent my family a package, like a manilla sized envelope with the bubble stuff inside. It only wieghed  0.77 kg (so less than 2 lbs) yet it cost me 192:- to send it. Which is about $27! I'm going to refrain from sending anthing that weighs more than a card, geesh I guess I shouldn't complain but well I am. So, inside the package was just candy, 10 pieces of polkagris. A swedish homemade candy in lots of different flavours, thought the kids might enjoy it, now that I think about it the candy cost less than the cost to send it. Wow Ö. So, two days till Thanksgiving!!! Never been this excited for Thanksgiving. Were going to have about 20-25 people over and plently of food. I am going to make the pies tomorrow :) Can't wait, pumpkin pie is my favorite! And maybe Dakota will come over to make the pecan pies, hopefully cause than it would be more fun. Then once the fantastic evening is over I will probably skype with my family....and some extended family too! Looking forward to all of Thursday! Well I have class in 15 minutes so I should finish up.

We had our first snowfall Friday...which lasted all day but sadly was all gone by Saturday night. Now it's just raining....so much for getting away from Washington weather :)

Till after Thanksgiving,
xoxo Pollo

A little piece of my mind...

Just thought I'd leave a note...

Sitting in my Staden och Frametiden class at the moment with Sarah! Jonas is talking about something, don't know what though. It's already November meaning I've been here for 3 months :) Time flies. Oh, right. I just finished with höstlov, which is fall break, one week off. I basically did nada. Thursday Nov. 4 I went to Denmark to "Hamlets Castle" with Sarah,Dakota & Teagan. That was interesting, but in a good way. I also invited the girls over for dinner that night, I made mexican food. Not as good as my moms but for the first time making everything by myself it was pretty okay. That was about the extent to my break, that and sleeping.
Hmmm, last night I mentioned wanting to make a big Thanksgiving dinner for my host family, they liked the idea! They're even going to buy a small turkey! Pretty much 2 weeks away but I've already figured out everything I am making :) Super exited. After that is basically Christmas, one fo my favorite holidays <3
That's it for now, can't think of anything else to mention that I've left out.
Oh yeah, yesterday Dakota and I made No-Bake Cookies, yummy.
